Life is too short to deal with that and no matter how much money you have, you shouldn't put up with it. Does money matter so much that a heart attack tomorrow would be worth the stress? NO!


When you have a boss that yells at you a lot out of sheer impatience or just because they're rude, just imagine them yelling at you naked. If someone walked into your office naked, that is with no clothes on, would you give them the benefit of the doubt? 

Course not! What's the point of taking your boss seriously when he comes in and yells at you? Your boss wouldn't have to yell at you if he or she is an effective communicator.


Try picturing your boss naked the next time he or she comes into the office. See what you do when they are screaming at you naked and how you react to it. You will find that with a little practice you can deal with a grumpy boss much better.


#3. Take a Walk Around the Work and do Some Exercises

Whenever you work, it's very important that you schedule two decent breaks every day - including half an hour for lunch and another 20 minutes elsewhere during the day. Whether you work 16 hours a day like me, or even if you don't, you should also schedule at least an hour and a half at the gym during your dinner break, even if that's just using the treadmill. Doing this will keep you from becoming a statistic at 40 and will keep you from living the life you've always wanted. #6. Don't Spend too Much Time on Email

Although technology is a wonderful thing, it can also cause problems when it takes over your life. For example, email can quickly overwhelm you, which can cause you to be stressed. My team and I have a rule that nobody who works in the office can respond to emails for more than 60 minutes daily. Putting this policy in place was prompted by the fact that many members of my team and our corporate clients spent their entire day emailing one another rather than dealing with the issue at hand.


You receive an email on one topic, and then within seconds the subject line changes to another topic. How often does this happen? One time, I worked as an external consultant for a company and most of the time I simply responded to emails all day long without doing anything else. A simple phone call would have dealt with most of the emails. There was an open plan office layout I worked in and I had a colleague working across from me who refused to talk to me or anyone else on the floor and all he did was send emails when he had a problem.


There is no point in doing business this way, as it does not work the way it should and only causes technology stress. My solution was to speak the answer back to him every time he emailed me. In an office next to yours, don't use technology to take over your life, so if you need a question answered, go to their office and knock on their door.


When you do this, you are accomplishing item number 6 by limiting your emails and item number 3 by getting up and moving around in the office. You'll be getting your blood flowing through your veins from that walk.


#7. Be Prepared to Say "NO!"

In our world today, everyone wants to get ahead, and I am sure that part of us wants to be like Bill Gates or Donald Trump and live a life of luxury. Many people make the mistake, however, of simply accepting whatever is thrown at them. However, even though saying 'yes' is great, people like Bill Gates and Donald Trump have teams of people working with them, and as a human being maybe you are one of them but being human sometimes means saying 'no'. 


Our bosses will check the 500-page report we will submit to them tomorrow, but what is the point of saying that? It is extremely unlikely that will happen. You need to say no sometimes in this world, and that does not only go for bosses, but also for clients. Across my various businesses, my team and I have a 7-day schedule. If we have a lot to do, we sometimes need to work six days a week to complete our tasks. A customer from our car cleaning business demanded one of my team members clean their car at 7:00am one Sunday morning - it was 6:30 am on a Sunday morning - because an important family member was going to arrive.


It would have been easy for me to give many responses, but I simply answered No! As they ranted and raved for about 10 minutes, I imagined they were naked and yelling at me, which was an amusing sight. When they were finished, I simply asked them would they be able to work every weekend, including Saturday and Sunday, for the next couple of weeks. "NO, My Weekends Are My Own, I'm not working them for anyone." Then I replied, "Then that's your answer and I hung up." You know the funny thing; they rang me on Monday morning and apologized and we did the top car cleaning service on their car the following week.  I charged them more as well.


Most clients will acknowledge the response of No when they comprehend the reason why you are saying No. Some won't, however at that point do you truly need them as clients in any case.
